2005 Suri Chardonnay

"Sensuous, soft-rolling silky locks, dense and uniform; fine, cascades of fleece on a well balanced frame; genial disposition and a robust constitution”. This is an explanation of an Alpaca Suri stud demonstrating the quality breeding of champion bloodlines.

Sitting on top of our Mountain overlooking our bushlands, Alpaca paddocks and the Williams River in the distance, we decided that our Suris, like the Huacayas, were also deserving of a wine portraying their qualities. Surely this unique animal’s blood was also worth bottling, if only figuratively speaking!

So we asked friends at McLaren Vale for an elegant, well-balanced wine; aromatic, fruit-driven and silky on the palate, to match the characteristics of our charming, Suri Alpacas. It is the happy outcome of co-fermentation and will provide as much satisfaction as the intoxicating vision of a Suri’s, lustrous, long locks shimmering in the breeze!
