Directions
2 1/2 - 3 hours north of Sydney. Take the Pacific Highway heading for the North Coast and Newcastle via the F3 Expressway. Caltex McCafe is just over the half way point and an ideal place to stop. Then it’s onward towards Newcastle but don’t take the turn off the expressway into Newcastle, instead follow the signs that lead to Maitland and Taree. There is a couple of turns to take but as long as you then continue following any signs towards Taree you are on the right highway. Go over the Hexham Bridge towards Taree (no longer heading towards Maitland) and go out toward Raymond Terrace. You will come to a round-about that shows Raymond Terrace to the left (do not turn off) but continue straight through the round-about towards Taree. About 10 minutes drive down the highway you will pass Sixth Mile Road on your left and then the next road to the left will be Italia Road and as you get closer to the intersection it will show Seaham 10 k to the left down Italia Road. Take the left turn and continue down Italia Road to the t-intersection where you will turn right onto East Seaham Road. Follow along on the bitumen road and when it changes to dirt watch your odometer as the farm is 2.7 kilometres on the right and has the sign at the entrance ‘Gilmores Run Alpacas’.

Non-Smoking
Please note the property is a non-smoking zone, drug-free environment.

Property
The farm is 350 acres. Well over 50 acres will be used as paddocks for Alpacas, which have this is rolling pastures with 4 large dams in the paddocks. There are birthing and also weaning paddocks, sheds, a shearing shed, equipment, fodder sheds and other storage areas. All paddocks have water outlets pumped from the dam and each paddock has a shelter and usually a shed for the alpacas. There are a number of wet weather creeks that run through the property. This property is beside a huge State Forest and some of the 300 acres have been partly cleared while some is totally in its natural condition which includes the mountain range that runs through the property. On the far side of the mountain are another 2 dams, small pockets of partially cleared areas, creeks, denser forest areas and a rain forest (when weather permits). Boulders along the cliff offer very rugged terrain and a wonderful area to explore. From the top of the mountain, on Gilmore’s Ridge, the Williams River can be seen only a short distance away.
